De winnaars van de kortfilmcompetities op Film Fest Gent zijn bekend

'hier.' van Joy Maurits is tijdens de slotavond van het kortfilmweekend op Film Fest Gent bekroond met de Prijs voor Beste Belgische Studentenkortfilm. Vytautas Katkus won met 'Community Gardens' de Film Fest Gent Award for Best International Short. De Ace Image Factory & The Fridge Publieksprijs ging net als in 2016 naar Anthony Nti, ditmaal voor 'Da Yie'.
